On October 12, 2016 Prof. Michael O’Flaherty will give a public talk on “The ongoing crisis of migration policy and the Fundamental Rights Agency: tasks and challenges ahead” at the IHS in Vienna.
Professor Michael O’Flaherty is Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights since December 2015. Previously, Professor O’Flaherty was Established Professor of Human Rights Law and Director of the Irish Centre of Human Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He served as Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. From 2004 to 2012, he was a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, latterly as Vice-Chairperson.
This will be the first TARN public lecture hosted in Vienna.
